Motociclismo tests at Monza the new Marzocchi forks exclusively designed for the "racing" after market. The result: Marzocchi takes pole position.

F.A., race tester for Motociclismo, tried at the circuit of Monza the new Marzocchi forks, making important results for "corners/bike lovers": riding on a a Suzuki GSX-R-1000, MY2002, he achieved a lap time of 1’59”41 with a Marzocchi fork and 2’01”46 with a standard fork.

The 2 new forks are "upside down", with a 43 and a 50 diameter and a reduced weight. That's why they are called "superlight forks". If you compare the 43mm Marzocchi fork with the Ohlins fork of the 998 R Ducati, the Marzocchi fork weights 1,9 Kg less than its competitor.
Moreover, Marzocchi has gretly improved the damping system, making several test sessions at tracks. Therefore, Marzocchi forks not only perform extraordinary well at high speeds, they also allow a great feeling on the front tyre, so that the rider can easily enter the corners very fast and keep his trajectory with no problem.
