Marzocchi has the honour of being specced on some of the finest bikes in history, but maybe the most unique project is a collaborative affair with the Polytechnic University of Turin and the University of Bologna, funded by the Emilia-Romagna region.
Co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, Marzocchi helped develop an innovative and integrated system for motorcycles which uses active suspension and vision-based predictive technology. The bike itself anticipates road conditions and adapts suspension behaviour accordingly.
The prototype bike equipped with the trial technologies was assembled to facilitate communication and increase road safety. This futuristic system was tested on a demo vehicle in private tests. The results were as exciting as expected, and Marzocchi has applied for an Italian patent to turn innovative vision into reality for the regular rider.
