The Most Beautiful Bike of 2023

One of the oldest and most storied relationships in motorcycling continues to flourish with the Marzocchi-specced Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono. With this groundbreaking model, both companies strike the perfect balance between beauty and brawn.

Over 75 years ago, the Marzocchi brothers got their start building and tuning Ducati bikes. They eventually left the company to start their own brand. In 2023, both brands collaborated on a bike that would turn heads as fast as the bike turned corners on tracks worldwide.

The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono is a single-cylinder street-legal supermoto with a full aluminum lightweight front fork, including aluminum stanchion tubes to drastically save weight. The bike was extensively track-tested with professional riders from varying backgrounds, resulting in a meticulously set-up suspension that allows for front wheel performance in every situation and every condition.

The bike is fitted with a fully adjustable 45-millimeter Marzocchi upside-down fork, with upper adjusters for hydraulic settings and 215-millimeter travel.

The visual impact of the bike is undeniably impressive. During an exhibition at EICMA 2023, the bike was “loudly acclaimed as the most beautiful of EICMA 2023.”
